CALIFORNIA CUP

The California Cup Club League is an organized group of water polo clubs that will provide each other an opportunity to play in an organized league format. CA Cup was founded by CHAWP Water Polo. The league is designed to increase the level of competition by competing against the best programs in California.

Player Spotlight on Connor Carpenter of SD Shores:
Connor Carpenter is the team captain of the SD Shores 14 & U boys’ team, being only one of two returning 14 “A” players this season. Connor is an experienced utility player who his coach describes as being a match up specialist defender with the ability to defend the opposing teams best player in two-meters. Connor also is a threat on the offensive side of the ball, having the strength to direct the offense as well as score. Coach Dan Way believes Connor uses his high level of play and high-pressure experience to be an excellent leader for their team. In addition to being a stand out player, Connor is very well respected by his teammates and is good friends with them. When Connor is not leading his team in the pool he is well known for his FIFA skills, according to Coach Way. Connor is also an excellent student and enjoys playing all kinds of sports. Coach Way says his team goals for the Cal Cup season is to get better every day and attempt to shock the world on championship day.
